Social engagement broadens horizons and helps and touches others.
Glaserhaus – The Monday Club, a drop-in centre for the homeless set up by the St. Joseph Catholic Parish in Stuttgart-Heslach, Germany, is an excellent example of social responsibility in action.
Recently, 60 disadvantaged people as well as members of the charitable organisation and Father Renz were picked up in Stuttgart by coach for a day out and a barbecue party in the municipality of Harthausen. The event was a resounding success.
“It’s wonderful to see how much you can achieve with relatively little effort and how grateful and happy other people are to receive our support,” says Thomas Lopian (OPiS AG), commenting on his impressions of the day.
